I’m a senior product designer with 18+ years of experience in complex enterprise platforms.

I’ve worked across public sector, insurance, healthcare and mining.

I turn tangled, multi-stakeholder requirements into clear, accessible products, and I stay hands-on in Figma and design systems.

I work closely with product managers, engineers and researchers, and I use AI-assisted prototyping to test ideas faster.

UX/UI Design Manager

NHS Supply Chain (Public Sector) | UK 06/2024 to Present

I lead UX for the Digital Commerce Platform, an enterprise procurement portal used by NHS wards and trusts.

Moved design in-house from an external agency and built the design function and design system from scratch: a team of 3 designers and a 25% reduction in operating cost.
Redesigned the core shopping journey, cutting search-to-cart time by 75%.
Shipped tailored catalogues, shared lists, product comparison, multi-basket ordering, requisition approvals and user management.
Led the platform through GDS assessment from Alpha to Beta, with accessibility and Service Standard compliance built into the design process.
Mentor designers, including one from a development background, through the full design process and tools.
Use AI-assisted prototyping in Figma for realistic, testable prototypes, and led research into AI-powered search to inform the roadmap.

As the only designer on a large agile product team, I worked on the employer and employee portal.

Migrated a 450+ screen Axure demo to Figma in three weeks, with an interactive prototype for client demos.
Built a design system that cut design time by 20%.
Redesigned employee and employer pages using the client’s user test data.
Worked with developers, testers and module leads in sprints, contributing to a 300% increase in the platform’s user base.

Led a team of 3 designers migrating about 1,000 Sketch files and 9,000+ InVision files to Figma, and did roughly 30% of the migration work myself.
Documented the files in Airtable and set up a DesignOps framework that the wider CVS design team adopted.

Ran heuristic evaluations of two portals in a mobile equipment live monitoring web app, using seven guiding principles and a severity scale.

Identified 40+ usability concerns, with side-by-side examples for each page, and 20+ of my solutions were implemented.

Led a team of 10+ designers to build a 120+ page SharePoint showcase tailored to client brands and regions, including ITV, Nike, DHL and News Corp, which was used to pitch Accenture’s in-house enterprise tool, myConcerto.
Designed BVI Digital v2 (now BCR), one of the most critical and analytical web applications, on my own from the start.
Designed 8+ blockchain applications, including Contineo, Ripple and Corda.
